Welcome to our very first Christmas home tour! I’m so glad that you’re here! With Christmas touches all around our home, it’s easy to feel the excitement in the air and just one more day to go until the BIG day! We purchased our home last year around this time and it has been a busy year working on lot’s of renovations, so today even though the entire house is decorated, I will only be sharing our living room and a glimpse into our kitchen with you. Our house isn’t huge, but we love it and I can’t wait to share it with you! As you approach our porch, you will see garland along the railing complete with white lights and burlap bows. After entering the front door, you will be greeted by our excited pooch and fluffy kitten. They will show you lot’s of love as you walk through the door, and once you finally make it around the corner into our living room, you will see our glowing tree, adorning some of my handmade book snowflakes, pine cone ornaments and clear ornaments that glisten in the light. Atop the tree is our mini book wreath that I made to compliment our trees rustic look.
I wanted our living room to feel cozy and comfortable so I added a small fur rug to the bottom of our tree and on the couch I added a brown cable knit throw blanket and my new fawn pillow from Craftberry Bush to warm up the space.
On our coffee table which is actually an old trunk, I kept the decor simple, by adding some fresh Rosemary, pine cones, a cute little white deer and some of our birch bark candles.
And speaking of cute little deers, over on our mantle is our barn door accent with our fauxidermy deer head. To add a little Christmas to the mantle, I used some garland with these beautiful mercury glass LED lights that I found at Homesense. I also added some sparkly gold bottle brush trees.
Moving into our kitchen, you will find a chalkboard with our boxwood wreath to add a little green into the mostly white space. On the small island in the middle of the kitchen is our wooden cheese crate which holds candles and Christmas scented pot pourri.
And that’s it! Thanks so much for taking the grand tour! I hope that you enjoy the holidays with your family and have a Merry Christmas!
I will be taking a small break from JST Design to spend some time with my family, but I will meet you back here in the new year!
